    Edelman Digital is in search of an experienced search marketing expert to help manage and drive SEM and paid search programs on behalf of some of the world’s leading global brands. The ideal candidate would sit in either our Los Angeles or San Francisco office.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Oversee the main day-to-day responsibility for search accounts. - Manage day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines including Google, YouTube, Bing but also emerging search engines like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Android Market and iTunes App Store. - Help build and train search experts across the west coast region. - Mobilize and motivate account team and junior reports. - Counsel and provide strategic direction on media strategies. - Oversee research, planning and POV development. - Work with industry partners to gain insights and understanding into top trends and opportunities in the search space. - Establish and maintain partner relationships. - Manage multiple facets of client programs including strategy development, campaign execution, and analytics and reporting. - Draft proposals, budgets and timelines for client projects. - Understand online research techniques and methodologies and use them to support development/execution of client campaigns. - Exhibit strong understanding of search platforms, trends, and measurement approaches.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    - At least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience. - Expertise in evaluating, negotiating, planning and purchasing online media and have exposure and experience with social, mobile and search media. - A passion for growing a search strategy practice that focuses on paid search media, SEO in conjunction with social media and content strategy. - Experience managing large-scale search programs on behalf of consumer Blue-Chip clients. - The ability to manage the budgets for and interdisciplinary account teams on sizable pieces of business. - Agency experience in managing account profitability, new business solicitation, quality of account service and employee development. - Superior communication skills and ability to counsel clients’ top executive management on online marketing issues. - Interactive development experience is a plus.
