Edelman digital is in search of an experienced digital & social media marketer in our Seattle office. This person will spend 50% of their time managing and driving digital and social programs on behalf of some of the world’s leading consumer and B2B brands, and the other 50% helping to drive new business efforts with existing and potential clients. Social media and digital marketing are now not “nice to haves” in the communications mix, they are essential to a brand’s overall image and success. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee and manage complex digital and social media programs - Mobilize and motivate account team and junior reports - Regularly counsel client on social media strategies - Troubleshoot client issues - Manage multiple facets of client programs including strategy development, campaign execution, community management, and analytics and reporting - Draft proposals, budgets and timelines for client projects - Understand online research techniques and methodologies and use them to support development/execution of client campaigns - Exhibit strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and measurement approaches - Look for opportunities to proactively develop business with existing clients (including cross-selling) and with potential clients - Manage pitch logistics for new business opportunities - Conduct proposal debriefs and share key learnings to improve process QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience - Successful track record managing large scale social media programs on behalf of B2B and B2C clients - The ability to manage budgets and interdisciplinary account teams on sizable pieces of business - Prior experience with responsibility for account profitability, new business solicitation, and quality of account service and employee development - Superior communication skills and the ability counsel clients’ top executive management on online marketing issues. Interactive development experience is a plus - Previous experience driving the new business development process in an agency setting - A self-starter with a passion for new business development and strong sense for creativity, organization, leadership, research and project managementABOUT EDELMAN:
